Colour on a Mehndi night usually comes from the outfit — yellows, greens, oranges, mirror work — so the makeup is balanced against it rather than competing with it. Practically, two things decide whether the look survives: how it is set, and how little you have to touch it. With henna on your hands, touching up is not really an option, so the look is finished to hold on its own.

Booking Mehndi or Sangeet makeup
Aisha works by appointment from 1315 Oak Tree Rd, Iselin, NJ, and travels throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Please note that Aisha provides makeup artistry; henna application itself is arranged separately through your henna artist.
- Consultation. Talk through the outfit, the venue and how many people need makeup that evening.
- Confirm the booking. The request form records the event time and holds the date.
- The evening itself. Aisha arrives early enough that you are ready before guests, not during.
- Carry it into the week. If you are booking several events, each look is planned as part of one progression.
Mehndi and Sangeet makeup questions
Do you apply henna as well as makeup?
No. Aisha Rizvi Artistry provides makeup artistry only. Henna application is arranged separately with a henna artist, and the makeup timing is planned around when your henna is being done.
Will the makeup last through a full night of dancing?
It is set specifically for that. Long-wear products are used throughout and the look is finished so it does not need touching up once henna is on your hands.
Can the bridal party be booked for the same evening?
Yes. Makeup for mothers, sisters and friends can be added and scheduled in sequence around the bride so the whole group is ready on time.
